If your kayak arrived with something missing, or you've lost a component, we can ship a replacement directly. To avoid back-and-forth, gather the four items below before you contact us — it lets us ship the same day in most cases.

Gather These 4 Things First

1Your HIN — the 12-character Hull Identification Number on the rear right (starboard) side of the hull. This confirms your exact model and production year.
2Model name or Academy SKU — e.g. Pro Angler PD 10′6 (SKU 141799590 / 176910), Pro Angler 10′3 (176909), or Pro 10′ SOT (176908).
3A photo — of the area where the part is missing, or of the damaged component. This speeds up identification and avoids us sending the wrong part.
4Proof of purchase — your Academy receipt or order number, showing date of sale.

⚠ Why we ask for all four up front
The most common cause of delay is a request that arrives without a HIN or photo. Sending everything at once means we can usually ship the same day.

Most-Requested Missing Parts

Pro Angler PD 10′6 (pedal drive model)

  • Pedal crank arms (L / R) — part #21145 (kit with screws). Note: LEFT screw is reverse-threaded.
  • Foam drive-well plug — used when the drive is stowed
  • Splash guard / splash plate — part #Z0307
  • Drain / rinse plug — part #21105
  • Rudder blade or rudder bracket screws
  • Seat strap or seat hardware

All models (10′ SOT, 10′3 Angler, 10′6 PD)

  • Scupper plugs — check inside hatches and tankwell; they're often still in the packaging
  • Grab handles and hardware
  • Deck bungee hooks and cords
  • Hatch lid or hatch ring
  • Seat back strap or buckle

✓ Check inside the hull first
Small parts (scupper plugs, screws, Allen wrenches) are often bagged inside the cockpit, tankwell, or bow hatch. Open all hatches and feel around before submitting a request — saves a few days of shipping time.
