If your kayak arrived with something missing, or you've lost a component, we can ship a replacement directly. To avoid back-and-forth, gather the four items below before you contact us — it lets us ship the same day in most cases.
Gather These 4 Things First
| 1 | Your HIN — the 12-character Hull Identification Number on the rear right (starboard) side of the hull. This confirms your exact model and production year. |
| 2 | Model name or Academy SKU — e.g. Pro Angler PD 10′6 (SKU 141799590 / 176910), Pro Angler 10′3 (176909), or Pro 10′ SOT (176908). |
| 3 | A photo — of the area where the part is missing, or of the damaged component. This speeds up identification and avoids us sending the wrong part. |
| 4 | Proof of purchase — your Academy receipt or order number, showing date of sale. |

The most common cause of delay is a request that arrives without a HIN or photo. Sending everything at once means we can usually ship the same day.

✓ Check inside the hull first
Small parts (scupper plugs, screws, Allen wrenches) are often bagged inside the cockpit, tankwell, or bow hatch. Open all hatches and feel around before submitting a request — saves a few days of shipping time.
