In this short video we show you how to install your rudder if not already installed for you by dealer. Rudders are stored in back hatches when shipped from the factory and this shows you the easy steps to get it installed and working so you can get out on the water and enjoy your new kayak.
1. You will need a 8 mm wrench and a starhead screwdriver
2. Rudders come wrapped and shipped in the back hatch. Unwrap rudder assembly.
3. Make sure rope lines are not twisted
4. Take out cotter pin, then insert rudder pin into the rudder hole at stern
5. Put cotter pin back to hold rudder pin assembly in place
6. Undo nuts and bolts on either side of rudder
7. Attach the rudder cable loops around the bolts
8. put nuts and washers back on bolts and tighten
9. Be careful not to overtighten to allow cable ends to move freely.
10. Clear the bungee from rudder chalk
11. Test the uphaul and downhaul rope to deploy and retrieve rudder
