How to fix valve leak issues on the Riot Mako 8.5 Air (or other inflatable SUPs or kayaks)
If you are having issues with a leaking valve on your inflatable kayak or SUP, we have good news for you! In majority of cases they can be easily fixed following some or all of these steps.
Fully inflate your Mako 8.5 Air or inflatable craft, then use a spray bottle filled with soap and water and spray the valve and around the valve area. Look for air bubbles forming. You've now found the leak. If there are bubbles on the outside of the valve (between the fabric and the valve, then the valve is not screwed in correctly or tight enough).
Deflate the valve and air chamber and use the tool in the repair kit (looks like a handle) to unscrew and remove the valve. The clean and dry the valve off, then reinsert and tighten. This should solve the problem.
If the bubbles formed on the plastic valve itself, then the valve is faulty and you will need to order a new one and replace it (again easy to do just follow the steps here when you get your new valve),
Here is a video produced by Newport Vessels that describes the steps better than we could do so here you go:
