Boreal Saguenay — replacement seat and rudder parts

The Boreal Design Saguenay is a composite sea kayak that has gone through several seat and rudder system updates since its original release. Because of those revisions, the exact replacement SKU depends on the year of your Saguenay.

Step 1 — Identify your boat. Locate the 12-digit HIN on the rear, right-hand side of the hull and send us a photo along with a photo of your current seat and rudder hardware.

Seats. Newer Saguenays typically take the Flex 4 seat. Installation instructions: How to install a Flex 4 Seat in a Boreal Design kayak.

Rudders. Depending on year, your Saguenay uses either the older FeatherCraft system or the current Sea-Lect rudder system. Once we have the HIN we can confirm the right kit.

Local pickup. Customers in the greater Montreal area can pick up parts directly at our St-Hubert warehouse by appointment.
